Our History

The Mathematical Association of Tanzania (MAT/CHAHITA) was established with the vision of bringing together mathematicians, educators, and students from across Tanzania to promote excellence in mathematics education and research.

Since our founding, we have organized numerous conferences, workshops, and seminars that have brought together leading mathematicians from Tanzania and around the world. Our association has played a crucial role in advancing mathematical education and fostering research collaborations.

Today, MAT/CHAHITA continues to be at the forefront of mathematical education in Tanzania, working closely with universities, schools, and research institutions to ensure that mathematics education remains strong and accessible to all.
